Glenn Ashby is the current world Champion in both A Class and Tornado Catamarans and is the current Silver medalist in the Multihull. He has won a total of 12 World Championships across 3 classes since 1996 including 2 Olympic class Tornado World Titles, 3 Int. Formula 18 World Titles, Gold in the ISAF World Championships in the Multihull and 6 A class Catamaran World Titles. As well as numerous Grade 1 Olympic Class Multihull victories and podium finishes sailing with partner Darren Bundock, Glenn has also been fortunate to win numerous National and international regattas across Europe and America including 6 European Championships in various classes.
Glenn has of more recent times ventured into bigger multihull sailing/coaching in the X-treme 40 class and sailing/coaching for BMW Oracle’s 90ft Trimaran . Outside of Multi-hull sailing Glenn’s background is dinghy sailing, although in more recent years, has also sailed on numerous keel boats and trailable yachts. Glenn really thrives on new challenges, is super competitive and is a keen racer. Glenn is also a keen sailboarder and loves the simple things in life especially playing with boats and just being on the water.
Glenn is renowned for his ability to communicate and talk the language of all sailors.
